Keep moist, but well drained. Happy in dry shade once established.
A regal specimen of upright fronds with brown, hairy midribs. The rachis (stalk) is dark and often scaly, which is particularly striking against the emerging green fronds. Nathaniel Wallich (1786-1854) was a Danish botanist, author and curator of Calcutta Botanic Garden.
