To boldly grow where no hosta has grown before, you need Hosta 'Vulcan' along with H. 'Captain Kirk' and of course, H. 'Enterprise'. A sport of H. 'Captain Kirk' discovered by the hosta hybridiser Hans Hansen of Minnesota, H. 'Vulcan' has a white centre but good substance. Lighter yellow jets from the dark green margin in towards the middle of the slightly domed leaf. Strongly growing.
